Best of my 2021 Wedding Photos
Every year I put together a post with some of my favorite photos from the year before. I like to keep the portfolio pages on my site pretty condensed, so this gives me a place to post aaaaaall my favorite days, couples, and moments into one place for you to check out!
Why look at a “best of” post?
Well, I think you should look at as many photos from the photographer you are planning as possible. Not just a portfolio, not just a full gallery, and not just a post from one wedding. This is just another tool in your photography planning arsenal to take a peek at what your chosen photographer got up to the year before! It’s also the most up to date compendium of their style, editing, and other techniques they may have started to use but haven’t updated their regular portfolio with. Us photographers tend to be very bad at that, btw.
But, most importantly, always ask a photographer you’re considering for full galleries as well!
How do you pick the photos?
I take my favorite 1-5 images from every engagement session and wedding I shot this year (except ones who wanted to keep their images private, of course). You’ll see aaaaall the different venues I photographed at all over Denver and Colorado from Lyons Farmette to Antler Basin Ranch to the Ramble Hotel. I also include a good mix of photos from portraits, to getting ready, to reception photos so there might be more variety than in the main part of my portfolio.
The numbers
My husband is a numbers nerd… so I make these little things mostly because he’s made me a fan of the beauty in data as well. It’s also a measure of aaaaaall the things I did this year, WHICH WAS A LOT. Every moment of it was so magical and I loved every minute of it.
In 2021 I…
