Round Up of Denver LGBTQ+ Wedding & Engagement Photos
Inclusion and love of ALL people is a philosophy that I am proud to have in my business. As a bisexual woman married to a man, I have it easier than fellow members of my community because I’m straight/hetero “passing.” Sometimes, that makes me feel like I have even more of a responsibility to be vocal and loving of all types of relationships and marriages. Well, here we are. I’m showing my LGBTQ couples from the last year all the loves. I’m truly honored that so many LGBTQIA+ couples trusted me to document their day, and let down the walls to have fun in front of the camera. We created some incredible images together!
One of my favorite shoots featured some rad women who wanted the fun walls in RiNo as the backdrop for their portraits before we went off to their ceremony and reception at their venue. I love it when couples build in extra time to have the portraits that are really special if the venue itself doesn’t inspire that. It’s always an option to whatever the heck will make you happy on your wedding day!
Lionsgate Event Center is one of my favorite venues of all time. I was lucky enough to second shoot for a company who photographed there a ton, and got to know most of the staff really well. Now, when I go back it feels like going home to family. I loved Hazel + Claire’s wedding there SO much. They are Scotland and Irish transplants, so their day was full of Scottish dancing, kilts, and other celtic traditions. I’ll always remember this day so fondly!
If you ever dreamed of getting married in the snow with massive bouquets that knock your socks off, check out the wedding after Hazel + Claire’s! I adore everything about their style, and their florist really knocked it out of the park. This shoot was published, but I still had to include some of the photos here for myself.
Next up is a gorgeous wedding at Roxborough Park! I loved the contrast of their white wedding dresses against the red rocks. Even though we had some of the hardest light to work with, and it was like 95 degrees, I loved how these photos came out.
Finally, a little session for some awesome women who wanted to commemorate the home they were moving out of. It had been one of EJ’s dreams to move out of the city and make it to the mountains, and they finally closed on a home in Eagle, Colorado. In home couple sessions are so special, and I love that these two wanted to document their time together there. Plus, they had to show off their rad bikes too!
