Crystal Creek Reservoir Engagement Photos in Colorado Springs
Please forgive me… because I am going to wax poetic like these two in a completely unreasonable fashion. Even though they came to Colorado from Texas for their engagement photos, they still brought their dogs with them. That says that their pups are family to them and I love that so stinking much. Rebekah and Rex fell into the whole “photo-taking” thing super duper naturally, and were totally content to just play with their dogs and hang out while I took photos. I loved that it was already so natural for them, and they knew that was what they wanted me to capture, so they just did it! I had so much fun throwing sticks for Georgie Barkington and catching the spray of snow when Rex pegged Rebekah with a well-timed snowball. Rex also loves scooping Rebekah up and literally throwing her over his shoulder… I asked if that happened in their daily lives and I got a resounding yes from both of them.
I don’t shoot down in Colorado Springs often, but Crystal Creek Reservoir was an amazing location. You can’t beat a panoramic view of Pikes Peak with a gorgeous frozen lake in the foreground. It was really refreshing to drive somewhere new and get out of my comfort zone and well-loved locations in Boulder. The reservoir was just up the road from the venue where they are getting married, the Craftwood Inn. I was there for a wedding last year and I can’t wait to go back with Rebekah and Rex this summer!
