Moss Denver Wedding Photos
Molly and Nate’s Moss Denver wedding was such a dream to plan and shoot. It is absolutely one of my favorite Denver wedding venues, especially if you want a wide open space with some gorgeous brick work and an industrial vibe. On top of Moss being a stunning venue, Molly found the best locations across Denver for their photos. The gorgeous Fluff Bar was one of the most beautiful places to take getting ready photos ever, and I highly recommend checking them out to avoid a cluttered hotel room. There’s actually space for 5-6 people to get ready without being o They did their first look at the vine covered bridges nearby (if you’re a Denver-ite, you know which ones I mean) after a parade ruined their plans of going to City Park. We hit the road after their first look up to Lookout Mountain in Golden for some of the most fabulous golden-hour light I’ve ever worked with. It was so wonderful that Molly put such a huge emphasis on the best locations to photograph.
One of my favorite special touches that Molly and Nate decided to incorporate into their wedding day were their “first look” notes to each other. It made that moment so much more intimate and special for them, and allowed us to capture some really special emotional moments together. They felt more comfortable sharing personal vows with each other, then using more generic vows during their ceremony. I thought it was an amazing way to still incorporate those personal vows without the pressure of messing them up in front of a huge group.
Their ceremony was at the amazing Moss Denver, absolutely one of my favorite Denver wedding venues! They have the perfect blend of urban and elegant in their decor, and the in-house florist Orchid Princess Floral did an incredible job decorating it just as Molly and Nate envisioned. Not to mention, I totally have a thing for those industrial-looking windows and all the stunning natural light they allow into the room.
Lighting it for the reception was a fun challenge. The dark brick work doesn’t exactly create a lot of light, so I had to bring my flash skills into play to make sure we still had awesome photos of their toasts and first dances.
Enough of my rambling! The photos will speak for themselves, and I hope you dig them as much as I do.
